Structural Engineer
US Citizenship Required by Client Contract
Pay Range: $33.30 to $35.90/hour Depending on Experience

Structural Engineer - Description/Comment:
- ***ABET Engineering degree required***
- Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.
- Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.
- Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis.
- Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.
- 0 Years with Bachelors in Science
Structural Engineer - Special Requirements:
- May consider part-time remote upon satisfactory completion of training.
- The persons in this position will be responsible for ensuring technical adequacy of a visual work instruction to support construction in a model based environment including (but not limited to) validation of welds, notes and dimensions for COLUMBIA class submarines.
- Candidates should have:
- 1) an interest in learning engineering/build processes relating to installation and manufacturing.
- 2) effective communication skills.
- 3) willingness to learn other engineering disciplines.
- 4) knowledge of engineering diagrams/drawings.
- 5) ability to work in a 3D model environment.
- 6) some knowledge of welding.
