Material Planner
Remote position*
Contract position - 1st shift, 5/40
Hours: (Mon-Fri), 7:30am - 3:30pm
Pay rate:  $24.34/Hr.
Benefits:  medical, dental, 401K

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Material Planner
Basic knowledge of Procurement procedures required to ensure accurate and detailed processing of Procurement related documentation.
  • Work under general direction of Purchasing Supervisors/Managers and as instructed by upper level Procurement Assistant where guidelines are not firmly established.
  • Assign requisitions to buyers and reassign as necessary in Oracle.
  • Conduct closeouts of purchase orders and process to Records Retention in accordance with our clients Procurement Policies (ESPP).
  • Direct telephone and e-mail requests for general inquiries and routine instructions.
  • File/compile information as required.
  • Manage data and projects as assigned.
  • Perform a variety of direct support duties relating to specific Subcontract topics.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  Material Planner
  • High School diploma or its equivalent plus one (1) year of specialized instruction in generalized office procedures and at least two (2) years of directly related experience; or
  • High School education or equivalent plus four (4) years of related experience.
  • Ability to work independently with data entry and project work.
  • The tasks need to be completed timely when asked to perform them.
  • Computer skills.
  • Must be responsible and accountable in a daily work schedule.
  • This position will support an engineering organization of ~500 personnel.
