Tool Engineer
Location: Everett, WA
Hourly rate: $55.00 - $60.00

Primary responsibilities:
• Provides engineering expertise in tooling design and development.
• Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
• Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
• Leads the creation and modification of tooling definition including gated reviews and develops plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
• Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoots current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
• Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware and documentation.
• Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.
• Develops concepts and designs in CATIA and present them for technical and financial approval.
• Participates in tool try-outs to ensure requirements are met.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
• Bachelor or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, technology, physics or chemistry.
• 5 or more years of experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacity.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• 5 or more years of experience working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role.
• 5 or more years of experience working in a production environment.
• 3 or more years of CATIA V5 solid modeling experience.
• 3 or more years of working GD&T experience.
• 1 or more years of experience checking and reviewing engineering designs and drawings.
• 1 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codes.
• 1 or more years of experience working with hardware configuration management.
• Familiarity with Company Tool Engineering systems, processes and procedures.
• Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems.
• Project Management Knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication Skills.
• Motivated self-starter that may be asked to train less experienced engineers.
• Ability to collaborate with both the Engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor operations team.
Must be U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
