Job Description

Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Manager
Location: [Confidential]
Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
An industry-leading engineering organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Manager to lead a talented team of engineers developing advanced integrated circuits for high-performance mixed-signal systems. This is a rare opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic leadership in a hands-on role shaping next-generation IC technologies.

About the Role
This role combines technical depth with team leadership. You’ll manage a high-performing group responsible for the design and development of custom analog and mixed-signal ICs. Approximately 25% of your responsibilities will involve management, with the remaining 75% focused on direct technical contribution and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management:
  • Serve as the first-line manager for a focused team of technical staff within the Digital & Mixed-Signal Circuit Design group.
  • Allocate resources across complex projects, identify growth opportunities, and recruit top engineering talent.
  • Provide regular coaching and formal feedback to support employee development and technical excellence.
  • Play an active role in career mentorship and performance evaluations for team members.
Technical & Strategic Impact:
  • Guide strategic planning and technical direction within the group and across broader engineering departments.
  • Serve as a technical leader or contributor on projects involving precision analog, ADCs/DACs, frequency synthesizers, tunable filters, subthreshold logic, or digital RTL-to-GDS.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and alignment with broader R&D goals.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on IC design experience, preferably across various processes such as CMOS, SOI, SiGe BiCMOS, or InP.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical team leadership, with proven success in resource management, recruitment, and performance development.
  • Proficiency with Cadence design tools and other industry-standard IC design environments.
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment and experience characterizing mixed-signal ICs is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams, collaborate across functions, and present technical concepts effectively.

Preferred Education
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

Additional Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance

Why This Role?
This is more than just a management position—it's a chance to shape the future of high-performance IC systems while working with a world-class engineering team. If you’re looking for a hands-on leadership role where you can contribute technically while building and mentoring a skilled design group, this is the opportunity to advance your career and make a lasting impact.
