  Evaluate engineering insight needs as they apply to decision making and efficiencies between engineering and other functions to meet the evolving needs of the business. Help translate business needs into measurable metrics and intepret business performance. Be accountable for follow on review and monitoring of developed metrics against the business needs. Drive insight definitions from business needs and follow on insight from data - synthesizing not only what is happening but why it is happening. Effectively communicate related findings and associated risks and opportunities to all levels of the organization. Be directly involved in developing data models and process flows as well as liaising with multiple stakeholders - mainly engineering, to document and/or validate the current state or As-Is business process. Focus on process improvement and produce artifacts at the end of a project to ensure that we are continually doing our work more efficient and effectively. • Work with management to define the short-term and long-term objectives, key performance measurements and potential gains. • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.

Responsibilities: Principal Business Analyst
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes, and risks.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
  • Work with management to identify new needs for insights and associated metrics, validate them with appropriate stakeholders and define associated requirements as part of developing dashboards
  • Recommend changes to processes and systems based on analysis of trends and patterns identified through real-time operational performance data.
  • Establish metrics to determine if the intended outcomes are achieved
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify methods to reduce process and business variations.
  • Prepare project presentations for management when needed.
  • Assist in planning, developing and implementing process improvements to meet business goals.
  • Monitor process performance and improvements in key metrics.
  • Use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation
  • Develop strong working relationships with development team and balance the needs of improving the technology while still delivering business needs
  Required Skills/Education: Principal Business Analyst
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, business, engineering, physical/applied sciences, or management discipline (business administration, accounting, finance, economics or management information technology) and 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous engineering experiences in complex systems
  • Display strong communication, organizational, critical thinking, and team building skills
  • Strong understanding of the value of metrics and iterative delivery
  • Experience developing requirements for collection of and follow on use of data to inform the organization.
  • Working knowledge of technical concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures, and technical standards
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and able to stay organized
