Commodity Manager
Fort Wayne, IN
Contract
$49-$57.85/hr
Manage and leverage strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company's procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost. Looking for individuals with a cross section of Electrical engineering (even associate degree) and supply chain experience - job is to close any shortages to business needs by proposing alternate solutions to incumbent design elements either through - working with suppliers and brokers to secure incumbent parts - or by proposing alternate engineering solutions.
Requirements:
- Electrical engineering background
- Supply chain experience or electronics contract manufacturing / factory experience
- Excellent communications
- Familiar with electronic components
- Some familiarity with Electronic design
- Preferred, BOM creation / modification is in the electronics field
- Strong background in office (Excel - pivot tables, formulas, cross reference skills)
- SAP experience
- Electronic component sourcing support - alternate identification
- OEM partnership securing incremental supply
- Working with Engineering on AVL alternates or new alternates
