Commodity Specialist
Cedar Rapids, IA
Shift:1st 7:30AM - 4:30PM
9/80 Schedule
$33.70/hr.
This position will primarily be focused on assisting our current Commodity Management and Supply Chain Analytics Groups. Within Commodity Management you will assist contract expirations and commodity wave initiatives. It will include reviewing current contract language looking for opportunities to extend or modify upcoming contract expirations. The candidate will also analyze data to determine best sourcing methods to procure components, whether it be on contract or discrete buys. The candidate will work closely with Contracts, Procurement, and Compliance. The best candidate would be someone with previous Commodity Management experience. Additionally, the candidate should also possess data analytic skills and be experience working with raw data, utilizing various tools, such as Excel and Access to produce useful work product. Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis of Supply Chain data of moderate complexity used in making Sourcing and Procurement decision and metric development. While maintaining metric process governance procedures.

- Ability to solve problems under direction of a senior staff member or manager.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Expert level proficiency with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, email, and calendar software.
- Ability to research, gather, and analyze information.
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources into correspondence or presentation materials or reports.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to direct the work of other administrative staff.
- Ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels, inside and outside of the organization

EDUCATION: Commodity Specialist
- Relevant Associate's degree plus two years of relevant work experience OR Relevant Bachelor's degree plus one year of relevant work experience
