Configuration Management Analyst Level 2 or Level 3

Join a leading aerospace organization in Canoga Park, California, as a Configuration Manager for a one-year contract opportunity. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of engineering documents, managing configuration processes, and ensuring compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Ideal for detail-oriented professionals with experience in engineering release, change control, and data submittals, this role offers the chance to support high-impact aerospace programs in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Engineering Document Releases:Â Coordinate and oversee the release of engineering drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, traceability, and timely distribution.
Execute Change Control Processes:Â Support configuration change control procedures, including impact analysis, documentation updates, and coordination across engineering and manufacturing teams.
Handle Contract and Subcontract Data Submittals:Â Ensure that contractual and supplier data deliverables are submitted accurately and on time, in accordance with program and customer requirements.
Utilize PLM Tools:Â Work daily within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Windchill (PTC) to manage configurations, document versions, and maintain data integrity.
Support As-Designed/As-Built Verification:Â Assist with the verification process to ensure product builds align with design intent and configuration baselines.
Collaborate Across Teams:Â Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to interpret operational procedures and align on CM best practices.
Required Qualifications:
4-year college degree.
U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship).
Proven experience with:
Engineering drawing/document release processes.
Change control management.
Contractual and subcontractor data submittals.
Hands-on knowledge of Windchill or other PLM systems.
Familiarity with hardware and software configuration management (non-IT).
Knowledge of As-Designed vs. As-Built verification methodologies.
Understanding of aerospace or defense industry standards and compliance practices.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Full-time, onsite role based in Canoga Park, CA.
Follows a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
No remote work available for this position.
