Lafayette CO
Contract to Hire - 1st shift, 5/40
Pay Rate:  $51.18/Hr.

Requirements:  Electrical Engineer II
  • US Citizenship
  • BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • 4+ years of hardware design experience. Advanced academic degrees, internship or research experience may count toward the required experience 
  • Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal communication channels.
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with at least one schematic capture/layout tool and at least one spice-based simulation tool.
  • Expertise in one or more technical areas: power electronics/power conversion, analog design, sensors design and interface, electromechanical systems, digital design, FPGA design, automated test development, EMI/EMC, PCB design/manufacture, * or other relevant area.
  • Experience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of aerospace, automotive, aviation, medical, * or naval.
  • Experience designing to industry standards (such as EMI/EMC).
Description/Comment:  Electrical Engineer II
The Electrical Engineer II will engage in a broad range of electrical engineering research, development, and support as a member of a diverse, cross-functional team. They will expand their skillset as they gain experience developing next generation satellite electronics as part of our world class electrical engineering team!
Desired Skill Sets:  Electrical Engineer II
  • Design electronics (schematic capture & PCB design) for complex space grade products
  • Use a variety of tools to analyze and simulate electrical designs, selecting the best tool for the job as required.
  • Some of the common tools we use are Altium Design, LTSpice, Siemens HyperLynx
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment on both R&D and production projects. Complete tasks with evolving requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of the design process and an ability to work primarily independently.
  • Debug hardware in a laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Test, Software, and FPGA design teams and other specialized teams to develop high quality, reliable hardware for our customers.
  • Years of Experience Required (if any): 4 or more
  • Education Level Required: BS or higher
  • Success will be measured by: the contractor will be paired with a Lead EE who will provide feedback to both the contractor and the Dir. Of EE regarding said performance.
