Job Summary: General Operations Lead
Liaise with Procurement and Manufacturing Sites to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of receipt of required components
Identify material shortages (produced, procured) and work solutions to minimize disruption to the production schedule
Compile information and make recommendations to improve production rates, processes, materials inventory, materials used, and/or customer information
Coordinate manufacturing production schedules, assess changes and improve processes, as necessary.
Track material availability, and identify potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed.
Prepare reports on work in progress.
Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements.
Coordinate interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Quality Inspection, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, IE Technicians, Inventory Control, Packaging, Shipping, and other shared services groups.
Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders and stock transfers.
Coordinate work cell detailed production scheduling activity in support of the Site Master Production Schedule
Serve as site liaison/coordinator between site and Rockford for zero hour returns
Work with site to ensure the production commit/open order file is maintained and updated regularly
Serve as Actuations primary point of contact at the local site
Attend local tier meetings to ensure priorities are communicated and provide status updates to site and Rockford
