IT Software Engineer 3
Newport News, VA - 50% Hybrid
$41.44-$54.53/hr.
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs IT applications software and systems. Collaborates with IT systems designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes IT system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures IT software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications: IT Software Engineer 3
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience. Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience. PhD and 0 years of experience.
Special Requirements: IT Software Engineer 3
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs IT applications software for machines and manufacturing/facility systems.
- Collaborates with IT systems designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software, especially in an IT/OT environment.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes IT system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures IT software standards are met.
- Experience with KepWareEX IT/OT server environment and tool set.
- Experience interfacing machine-level PLC’s and Sensors into an IIoT network.
- Design and build machine connectivity up to the KepServer, as necessary.
- Enabling machine-to-network (multiple types) connectivity capabilities for data feeds
- Support manufacturing and facility connectivity and data analysis efforts
- ***Industrial Engineering Experience***
- ***HYBRID 50%... level of work will dictate time inside shipyard. Must be able to travel to shipyard daily.
