Basic Qualifications:Â Â Instructional DesignerÂ
• 6 Years with bachelor's degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a master's degree (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Â
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or related roles.
• Proficiency with instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and associated tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
• Experience developing content for diverse audiences and learning contexts (corporate, technical, compliance, etc.)
• Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to analyze data to measure training effectiveness and iterate solutions.
Job Description:Â Â Instructional DesignerÂ
Designs and implements development training programs to enhance the effectiveness of managers and teams to increase organization productivity and customer satisfaction. Assesses critical business issues and designs organization development and strategic plans to enhance company performance. Facilitates design and implementation of reengineering and/or reorganization efforts. Advises on team design and performance. Provides development, coaching and training managers on leadership skills.
The instructional designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective learning experiences that facilitate knowledge transfer, skill development, and behavioral change. The role aims to create engaging, accessible, and impactful training solutions aligned with organizational goals, audience needs, and industry best practices.
Job responsibilities:Â Â Instructional DesignerÂ
• Conduct needs analysis to identify learning objectives and audience requirements
• Design instructional materials, including instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for learning content.
• Utilize instructional design models (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) to ensure systematic development.
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Perform quality assurance on learning materials for clarity, engagement, and accessibility.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and analytics; recommend improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design.
Technical knowledge:Â Â Instructional DesignerÂ
• Instructional design models and methodologies: ADDIE, SAM, Dick and Carey, Blooms Taxonomy
• Multimedia and Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro
• Assessment and Evaluation: Designing formative and summative assessments, Analytics tools for measuring engagement and effectiveness
 • Accessibility standards and guidelines: Section 508 Compliance
• Content Management and Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint or other collaboration platforms
Preferred Certifications & Education:Â Instructional DesignerÂ
• Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD)
• Certified Instructional Designer / Developer (CIDD)
• Adobe Certified Expert
• Master of Education (M.Ed) in Educational Technology
• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology
• Master of Business Administration with a focus on Learning and Development or Organizational Development
• Master of Science in Learning Sciences or Human-Computer Interaction
