Orientation Facilitator
Groton, CT

24 hours per week
Teachers will be utilized in facilitating our New Employee Orientation (NEO) Program, in addition to embarking in a series of enrichment opportunities with Client, such as tours of the shipyard and manufacturing facility, workshops on outreach programs, guest speaker talks, and leadership development opportunities. The program aims to assist teachers in becoming more knowledgeable about client and the submarine industry.

NEO Facilitators are ambassadors of the purpose and mission. NEO facilitators have a tremendous opportunity to play a critical role in welcoming new employees to start their successful careers.
  • Participate in scheduled enrichment opportunities such as shipyard tours, workshops on outreach programming with schools, and leadership development courses.
  • Gain exposure to career pathways in shipbuilding for their students in the academic year.
  • Learn and deliver shipyard trainings specifically towards new employees including New Employee Orientation.
  • Take part in leadership guest speaker series.
  • Drive a positive employee experience through superior facilitation skills and knowledge of program content
  • Create a culture of collaboration focused on one mindset, one mission, and one team accountability
  • Network with fellow teachers from CT, RI and MA
Required Qualifications: Orientation Facilitator
  • CT/RI/MA Teacher Certification
  • Currently employed in CT/RI/MA school
Preferred Qualifications: Orientation Facilitator
  • Experience in Adult Learning
  • Delivery experience in front of large groups 
  • Experience delivering training using a variety of instructional techniques preferred; ILT, Video, Web-based
  • Previous military experience
Skills: Orientation Facilitator
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern educational techniques
  • The ability to exhibit high energy and to motivate and inspire professionals
  • Exceptional facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and execute work with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and personal accountability
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Proficient knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
