Job Description
As a Principal Information Technology Analyst in the GIS & CAD Services Team, you will be the resident expert of the specialized and complex Enterprise GIS (EGIS) infrastructure providing GIS system administration and support for this environment.  The EGIS application infrastructure consists of Esri Geodatabases built on Oracle and PostgreSQL, ArcGIS Servers, Image Server, GeoEvent Processor, GeoAnalytics Server, Spatiotemporal Big Data Store, ArcGIS Portal, Insights, ArcGIS Monitor, Notebook Server. The hardware infrastructure includes various servers, both physical and virtual, large network storage devices, high-end GIS workstations, printers, plotters and various mobile devices. Qualifications include: Experienced and proficient with Esri suite of GIS applications. Knowledge and experience as a GIS system administrator, including GeoDatabase administration, ArcGIS Enterprise installation, configuration and administration and experience with database administration including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL. Familiarity with enterprise GIS architecture including hardware, applications, web services (map, data, geoprocessing, real-time) and mobile GIS. Knowledge and experience integrating GIS with other enterprise business systems including Maximo, Pl, Scada, Knowledge of GIS application design and development, GIS data formats, spatial reference and coordinate systems, data conversion, cartographic principals, map design, GIS analysis.
Desires Experience Below:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of increasingly responsible experience, of which two years must have been at the Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.
- Personable, Flexible, Multi Task and Handles pressure well.
- Detail orient, organized, strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
- Valid CA driver license .
- No H1B candidates.

Fundamental Information Technology infrastructure components including hardware, software, operating systems, database
management systems, and local and wide area networks; principles of database administration, computer operations, and application development and support; principles and practices of leadership, project management, supervision, matrix management, and quality assurance; team building; budgetary concepts and practices; cost and benefit analysis; statistical analysis; risk management; negotiation techniques; contract administration; and trends and emerging technologies.
