2nd Shift
Goleta, CA
Contract

$24.30/hr.

Location: This is an on-site role on 2nd shift (12:00pm-8:30pm). Training period may or may not occur on 1st shift.


Main functions: Production Associate 
A Production Associate within the Wafer or Focal Plane Processing Department must demonstrate a safety-first work routine, have a proficient understanding of the technical aspects associated with his/her assigned process and the ability to work with process engineering to resolve production issues. The individual needs to be able to coordinate workflow with co-workers and effectively communicate with engineering and management. Participation in cross training activities is required. Routine work is performed with minimal supervision.
Positions are on second shift; however, training may be on 1st shift for the entire contract period because the employee must establish the required certifications to move to their final designated shift hours. Candidates need this shift hours flexibility.

Required Skill SetsProduction Associate 
  • A processor will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of fabrication. Their duties can include the operation of coat, expose, develop, wet etch, hotplate, surface treatment, hybridization, deposition and inspection tools.
  • The ability to work safely with various processing equipment, chemicals and raw production materials, to work under yellow lighting and a class 100 cleanroom environment are required.
  • The person in this role must be able to accurately read and follow detailed equipment operating and product-specific instructions.
  • They need to have intermediate computer skills, ability to accurately record process parameters, strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to handle delicate hardware.

Desired Skill Sets: Production Associate 
  • Previous fabrication or assembly skills.
  • The flexibility to work occasional, voluntary overtime on weekends to meet the factories needs is strongly desired.

Qualifications: Production Associate 
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 or more years general work experience.
