Job Description:
Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry. Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case. Develops and establishes lead time requirements. Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
Requirements:
Master Scheduling experience: (8+ years) creating large Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) from scratch (schedules several thousand lines in detail).
Experience working with technical engineers and various functions to get their scope of work planned, loaded into a scheduling tool (like MS project, Primavera, or Open Plan Professional), managing Schedule Health Metrics, running & analyzing Driving and Critical Paths, and conducting Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)/Monte Carlo in a schedule tool (along with analyzing the SRA results in histograms and tornado charts) to complete an executable and realistic schedule that meets customer/proposal requirements.
Applicant should also have experience working Proposals = developing a Proposal IMS, drafting a IMS/IMP Narrative, etc.
Applicant should have experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and DFAR requirements related to the IMS.
This position is the scheduling grunt work involved in creating an IMS in a scheduling tool like MS Project, Primavera, or Open Plan Pro.
Most Project Managers do not have this type of experience but like to apply to these positions. The applicant should be a Subject Matter Expert on Integrated Scheduling techniques and at least one main Scheduling Tool (like MS Project, Primavera, or Open Plan Pro).
Education:
Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years related work experience, a Masters' degree and typically 8 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
