Quality Assurance Engineer
Fort Wayne, IN
Contract position
Shift: 2nd, 4/40
Hours: typically, 3:00pm-11:00pm*
Hourly Rate: $39.87
Benefits: overtime, medical, dental, 401K
*Training will occur on 1st shift and then move to 2nd shift
JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Assurance Engineer
- In this role, you will drive quality actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in order to meet or exceed all regulatory and customer requirements and expectations.
Daily activities include: Quality Assurance Engineer
- Perform audits on operator content J-STD-001 Perform ESD audits to meet regulatory compliance.
- Certify and recertify individuals to IPC standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures relevant to the QA function.
- Train new operators to be able to solder Class 3 flight critical hardware.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Quality Assurance Engineer
- Previous manufacturing or quality experiences in electronics assembly
- Solid manufacturing process knowledge/experience
- Quality and process audit and inspection.
- Communication skills
- Teaching skills to impart technical knowledge.
- Conflict management/resolution skills,
- Formal qualification to be related to field of work
SKILLS PREFERRED: Quality Assurance Engineer
- Previous manufacturing or quality experiences in electronics assembly
- Solid manufacturing process knowledge/experience
- Teaching skills (patience, passion, approachability, etc.) to impart technical knowledge.
- Conflict resolution skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Quality Assurance Engineer
- IPC (Institute of Printed Circuits) trained to J-STD-001,
- IPC-A-610 familiarity
- Soldering experience
EDUCATION: Quality Assurance Engineer
- AS or BS in engineering and experience in manufacturing highly recommended, or equivalent experience
