Contract
Conducts a compliant validation process for quality information technology systems which requires formal validation documentation (including standard operating procedures) under appropriate federal regulations. Coordinates activities with clients, programmers/developers and operating personnel, domestic and, as appropriate, global. Identifies current and anticipated requirements for compliant computerized operations and suggests methods for the identification, implementation and maintenance of the procedures, actions and documentation necessary to assure compliance according to the appropriate federal and international regulations which govern the users applications. Reports on the status of validation activities to fulfill regulatory requirements . Keeps abreast of changing federal and international regulatory requirements, government audit policies, and the availability of current techniques.
Qualifications: Splunk Administration Engineer4
- 9 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 7 Years relevant experience with Masters.
Equivalency: Bachelors Degree and 9 years of experience. Masters Degree and 7 years of experience. Ph.D. and 4 years of experience. A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
Special Requirements: Splunk Administration Engineer 4
- 95% REMOTE
- Travel is local-only
- 7+ years of experience with Splunk engineering, administration, deployment, and maintenance for a large-scale network environment
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with interacting with customers configuration and optimization in Splunk
- Experience with using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data
- Strong expertise understanding architecture and ability to create, modify, troubleshoot data queries through various data sources
- Knowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology logging
- As a Splunk engineer on our project, youll be responsible for assisting with the onboarding, design, performance, implementation, and capacity of the Splunk platform.
- Youll coordinate work with in-house teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customers Cybersecurity & IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions.
- We need to come up with the best solution, so youll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going.
- Youll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and business needs.

Preferred: Splunk Administration Engineer 4
- Experience with performing systems testing, including auto scaling configurations
- Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud
- Experience with working in a large enterprise environment
- Experience with COTS application support
- Experience with data life cycle support
- Experience with network security, system security, and supporting security information and event management (SIEM)
- Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIX environments
- Experience with security tools, including Firewall, IDS, and Active Directory
- Splunk Administrator Certification
Addt'l duties may include: Splunk Administration Engineer 4
- Design optimal data models, builds, and manage summarized datasets, lead performance tuning activities, design and develop data API
- Programs data pipelines/system integrations; optimize & maintain distributed data flows
- Improve data quality and participate in data governance & reliability activities; develop and maintain data catalog
- implement data enrichment, data cleansing/data quality improvements
- Analyze data to discover tasks that can be automated
- identify process improvements
- implement automation
- develop prototypes and proofs of concept for selected solutions
- Collaborate across enterprise defining standards for application architectures and best practices
- Perform statistical analysis; implement machine learning pipelines in production
- Develop/enhance applications, associated integrations, and required tests harnesses based on design
- Develop systems, integrations, APIs, and solutions that are focused but not limited to engineering
- Design, build and manage build and deployment pipelines that handle software lifecycle
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to support and drive efforts for the translation of data needs into technical system requirements
- Write clear and detailed technical documentation for complex or difficult projects.
