Nashua NH
Contract - 1st Shift, 9/80
Hours:  7am -3pm
Pay Rate:  $119.01/Hr.

REQUIREMENTS:  Sr Prin Software Engineer
  • US Citizenship
  • Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field including formal education in Computer and Software Technology from an accredited college or university or its equivalent and a minimum of twelve (12) year of work experience, or a master's degree.
  • Four or more years of experience developing software designs, code and unit tests for software systems within budget and schedule.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and development processes and procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Sr Prin Software Engineer Assists in the development and allocation of software requirements. May allocate requirements to software, develop software requirements, evaluate the impact of requirements changes, lead others in this task, and interact with customers regarding requirements. May develop software design and design documentation or lead others in this task. May construct software efficiently which meets identified needs (e.g., reusability, portability) in an efficient way or lead others in this task. Reviews and prepares documentation for complex software designs in accordance with established software development processes and procedures. May run tests, evaluate results, debug defects, or lead others in these tasks. May participate in planning verification and validation activities. Verifies complex software designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements. May run or participate in work product reviews and inspections. Codes, unit tests and integrates complex software designs. Estimates software level of effort and schedules by reviewing statements of work for new and revised projects. May assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations. May write sections of technical proposals. May perform evaluations/trade studies for complex engineering development tools. May perform complex engineering development tool design; development; maintenance; testing; piloting; tool customization; integration with other tools; project insertion, and/or on-going support efforts. Performs other duties as required.

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in Section II above.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.
  • Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
  • Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations; 6. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule.
