Structural Engineer
US Citizenship Required by Client Contract
Pay Range: $33.30 to $35.90/hour Depending on Experience

Structural Engineer - Description/Comment:
***ABET Engineering degree required***
Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.
Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.
Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis.
Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.
0 Years with Bachelors in Science
Structural Engineer - Special Requirements:
May consider part-time remote upon satisfactory completion of training.
The persons in this position will be responsible for ensuring technical adequacy of a visual work instruction to support construction in a model based environment including (but not limited to) validation of welds, notes and dimensions for COLUMBIA class submarines.
Candidates should have:
1) an interest in learning engineering/build processes relating to installation and manufacturing.
2) effective communication skills.
3) willingness to learn other engineering disciplines.
4) knowledge of engineering diagrams/drawings.
5) ability to work in a 3D model environment.
6) some knowledge of welding.
