Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 0 years of experience.
Equivalency: 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelors degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelors degree. 12 years of relevant non-exempt, Manufacturing, Military, Shipbuilding or Trades experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
Requirements:
Experience with Scheduling and monitoring tools such as Control-M, Tivoli and Network Manager or equivalent.
Ability to work with systems that process on multiple platforms, for example UNIX and Windows.
Knowledge of networking and distributed computing concepts.
Scripting tools and program languages, such as UNIX scripting, Perl, Visual Basic a plus.
Familiarity with a ticketing system (i.e., SMAX, HPSM).
Good verbal and written communications required for gathering/supplying details about job failures from/to analysts and communicating with management and team leads.
Quick Learner and self-starter ( working under limited supervision)
Effective problem-solving and attention to details
Works well under pressure, while multi-tasking
