Job Description
Position: Systems Engineer
Pay $62/hr
Location: Houston TX
Description/Comment: Systems Engineer
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join us as a Systems Engineer to support the design, development, verification & validation, and operational support of the next generation space suit for ISS and future space vehicles.
Responsibilities may include: Systems Engineer
- system development trade studies and optimization,
- development of concepts of operations,
- developing product requirements at the system/component level for mechanical/electrical/software,
- thermal/fluid/chemical system modeling,
- steady state & transient performance analyses,
- as well as component sizing.
Skills required for the execution of this position include any of the following tasks: Systems Engineer
- System Dynamic Control and Stability Analysis;
- requirements development & management;
- test requirements development;
- verification and validation planning and testing;
- test results documentation;
- training hardware development;
- and flight systems support.
Tools to be utilized may include any of the following: Systems Engineer
- Matlab/Simulink/Simscape;
- JAMA;
- Microsoft Office Suite;
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE);
- SysML;
- MagicDraw; and
- Cameo Modeler.
Education / Certifications: Systems Engineer
- Bachelors in Mechanical/Aerospace/Chemical/Systems Engineering with 3 - 8 years of experience
Experience / Basic Qualifications: Systems Engineer
- Space Flight hardware experience with electro-mechanical systems, fluid flow systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work well both independently and within an integrated product development (IPD) team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent writing & math skills
- Must be a US Person Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on hardware development program: proposal/development/manufacture/verification/operational support, or
- Experience performing system development/integration/architecting, or
- Experience performing electo-mechanical integration, or
- Experience performing software/electro-mechanical/systems integration.
- This job is considered a sensitive position in accordance with NASA Guidelines.
- The selected candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per NASAs regulation subpart 1823.5 Drug-Free Workforce

- First Shift: 07:00am - 4:00 daily
