Job Description

Contract Technical Transfer Specialist (Tissue Diagnostics – Manufacturing Operations Support)
Location: Onsite | Industry: Diagnostics & Life Sciences | Schedule: Full-time, Contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Technical Transfer Specialist to support the seamless integration of new assays, reagents, and bulk materials into existing tissue diagnostics manufacturing operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between Operations and cross-functional teams in Development, Regulatory, and Project Management—ensuring that manufacturing needs are met in terms of quality, cost, scalability, and timelines.
You’ll leverage a combination of program management tools, lean manufacturing principles, and scientific expertise to guide and execute smooth technology transfers. This includes both new product introductions and site-to-site or supplier-based transfer initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary Operations liaison during technology transfers, ensuring input from all key functions (Manufacturing, Process and Validation Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Planning, Label Control, etc.) is captured and implemented.
  • Communicate and enforce manufacturing best practices to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Apply Technology Transfer standard work to drive consistency and process improvement.
  • Use project management techniques to track milestones, coordinate resources, and ensure timely execution of transfer deliverables.
  • Learn and integrate GMP compliance standards and promote best practices throughout the transfer lifecycle.
  • Offer design-for-manufacturing input early in product development to ensure seamless operational handoff.
  • Execute and document validation protocols with support from technical peers.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Lifecycle, Regulatory, and business teams to align project goals and meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting during process transfers and escalations.
  • Deliver clear and concise project updates and presentations to diverse stakeholder groups.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist with project coordination activities including scheduling, task tracking, and resourcing.
  • Help maintain and optimize resource and activity trackers.
  • Facilitate planning meetings and identify priority/resource conflicts.
  • Contribute to workflow standardization and implement process efficiency initiatives.
  • Explore and apply digital project management tools to enhance visibility and performance.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Life Sciences with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
    • Master’s degree with 0–2 years of related experience will also be considered.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong collaboration skills and independent problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with assay, reagent, and bulk material manufacturing and scientific principles.
    • Working knowledge of GMP, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
    • Experience with systems such as SAP and ETQ is a plus.

Why This Role?
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the forefront of innovation in tissue diagnostics, ensuring that life-changing products move efficiently from development into full-scale production. If you're passionate about process optimization, cross-functional collaboration, and applying science to solve operational challenges—this role is for you.
