We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and manufacturing of advanced medical diagnostic equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SolidWorks, GD&T, and pneumatic systems, leveraging these skills to create innovative, high-quality products that meet stringent industry standards.
Responsibilities
Design & Analysis: Develop and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging solutions for medical diagnostic devices.
Technical Expertise: Conduct feasibility studies, execute testing, and refine designs using advanced engineering principles, including GD&T and pneumatics.
Prototyping & Testing: Direct and collaborate with support teams to prepare detailed designs, fabricate prototypes, and ensure testing accuracy.
Product Development: Design and implement improvements to components, systems, or processes with a focus on manufacturability and quality assurance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to identify and solve technical challenges, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Documentation: Provide detailed design information and oversee the creation of packaging documentation using SolidWorks.
Innovation: Contribute to the development of patentable components or systems, leveraging a deep understanding of mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize processes and ensure the highest quality standards through sound experimental design and testing.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a directly related discipline with 8+ years of experience, OR
Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, OR
Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience in a directly related field.
Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks for design and analysis.
Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in mechanical design.
Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, including design and testing.
Skills:
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and quality.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical data effectively to diverse audiences.
