Contract QC Analyst I
Onsite – Oceanside, CA | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a motivated Quality Control (QC) Analyst I for an on-site contract role in Oceanside, CA. This position supports QC testing of in-process and commercial pharmaceutical products as well as environmental monitoring within a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in lab practices, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help maintain product quality and safety standards.

Position Summary:
In this role, you will conduct both routine and non-routine laboratory analyses using standardized operating procedures. You’ll be responsible for collecting, processing, and reporting test data, calibrating instruments, and contributing to method improvements. This is a hands-on lab role requiring a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine microbiological and chemical testing on in-process materials, final products, and manufacturing environments.

  • Execute lab work in compliance with established SOPs, cGMP, and safety guidelines.

  • Troubleshoot basic assay issues and assist in the development and optimization of test methods.

  • Participate in data review, trending, and documentation in support of regulatory submissions.

  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; ensure instruments are functioning properly.

  • Assist in laboratory upkeep, inventory, and support onboarding/training of new personnel.

  • Generate and manage documentation using electronic systems, including data entry and reporting.

  • Support department and team goals by sharing responsibilities and participating in routine projects.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; report any incidents or unsafe practices immediately.

  • Attend team, departmental, and cross-functional meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience (academic or industry).

  • Familiarity with cGMP and GLP practices.

  • Basic proficiency with analytical and microbiological techniques.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced lab environment.

  • Comfortable working with potentially hazardous materials (corrosive, toxic, flammable, etc.).

  • Must be able to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) if role involves warehouse access.

Physical & Schedule Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.

  • Available to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
