Job Summary:Senior Cost Accountant
This position is for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis professional specializing in inventory, manufacturing operations support, and capital expenditures (CapEx). The selected candidate will support Plant 1 operations financial reporting and must have expertise in extracting and managing large datasets from centralized systems using Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills are required to assess operational results and communicate insights and concerns to management. The role involves collaboration across multiple functional areas (Operations, Quality, and SIOP) and all levels of management, demanding strong written and verbal communication skills. This position does not include direct reports.
Responsibilities: Senior Cost Accountant
Operations finance lead, supporting operations management, including SIOP and Quality, on all financial matters
Execute month-end and quarter-end financial closing processes, including journal entries, forecasting, and variance analysis
Develop financial plans, forecasts, and operational metrics for both short- and long-term operations planning
Oversee financial planning and analysis activities for Capital Expenditures related to Plant 1 operations and program
Work closely with cross-functional teams, delivering timely and accurate financial data to drive strategic business decisions and resolve issues
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management
Ensure compliance with financial and business controls, including adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, documentation, and control testing
Ensure compliance with government accounting regulations, including DCMA/DCAA audits and client's internal audit requirements
